In-service training Program

Nutrition Care Systems offers in-services that are focused on properly training staff in a variety of foodservice and clinical topics including various aspects of food service management, food safety and sanitation, resident nutritional care and the concept of “hospitality”. In-service education is an ongoing process, in part due to staff turnover as well as the need to review information to obtain improved understanding of the topics.

Change is happening quickly in the LTC industry and these changes necessitate an ongoing evaluation of the knowledge and skills that foodservice employees in order to perform their work effectively. In-services are necessary to provide the level of food and nutrition services needed to properly care for residents. They are designed to provide education and testing on specific subjects.
